In high school band class, the teaching style focuses on building a strong foundation of instrumental technique, fostering creativity and individual expression, and developing teamwork and communication skills. Additionally, there are certain rules that are in place to ensure a safe and productive learning environment.

Teaching style:
The teaching style that the music teacher uses is very useful as she makes everyone rinse and repeat work over and over again until the whole class understands how to play a certain note/notes. Once she has gotten this down, she then makes everyone learn a music sheet using those notes that they had learned in class. Once they can play that, she gives them new notes, and rinses and repeats. This is a process of simply learn and use where you learn how to do it, and then you put it to work making use of the new skill that they had learned.

Rules:

The rules in the band room are pretty general as the teacher just wants all of your attention, and for you to play to your best capability. If anyone is on their phone, she asks them to put it away, simple classroom rules.
