"Measure twice, cut once."
-Mr.Winkleman
You will get one of two teachers, Mr.Winkleman, or Mr.Thor. Both are very nice people but one is a very practial teacher who is very taunting and strict, and one is more chill but will take everything a little too lightly. Lets go over their different teaching style
Starting off with Mr.Winkleman. His teaching style is very harsh, but fair. His favorite thing to say is "-10%!" You only hear this when you forget to do something like open the dust collector. He doesn't mean it, however he sounds very sincere about it. If you piss him off however (which is very difficult to do) You will hear about it. Other than that, he likes to give nice long lectures, and make snarky remarks at his students. He is a teacher who you can joke around with and he would laugh instead of sending you back to your seat. Overall, he is all you could ask for a teacher and you shouldn't worry if you get sent to his class at the beginning of the semester.
Moving on to Mr.Thor. He is the kindest and most helpful teacher you could have. He teaches both woodwork and metalwork. His teaching style is giving you quick safety demos, and then letting you figure out how to do assignments on your own. This usually means that he gives you the tools you need, gives you the safety instructions, tells you what to build, and then gets you to figure out the rest of it by yourself. He is very sarcastic, very helpful, and will lead you in the way of success with both metalwork and woodwork.
Tips to survive their classes
